We are.. Penn Staters, Scott and Blythe Woods, who met while working at The Corner Room Restaurant in State College. We have moved back to the Woods family historic farm to care for Nana and Pap Pap. Scott’s grandmother, Margaret Scott McGaughy was born in 1895 in our house. The McGaughy family has been farming in the Marsh Creek area since 1741! Margaret, or  Maggie as she was called by her young grandson, loved the farm and following her mother’s passing, was sad to have the family move away. David Walker Woods purchased the farm in 1925, surprising Maggie in doing so and they raised their two boys on the same farm she loved as a girl.

It is truly Maggie’s farm, and we hope to honor her by creating a sustainable market garden that continues on the family tradition!
