The Family

Margaret “Maggie” Scott McGaughy

1895-1978

Our namesake, Maggie was born here at the farm! She and her brother loved spending their childhood days with goats, cattle, and the working mules.

Maggie was farm-to-table long before that was even an idea. As a young boy, Scott Woods looked forward to visiting his grandmother for her Sunday dinners. Fresh vegetables from the garden were a treat and Maggie’s rhubarb pies were legendary!

We are proud to honor Maggie’s memory by planting the seeds for our future in the same land that she so loved.

William Alexander Woods

1938-2019

Where Bill was most happy…

Bill spent nearly his entire life here on the farm. From walking to the nearby one-room school house as a boy to raising 200 Suffolk-cross sheep as a retired school teacher, Bill loved the farm and its fields!
